Sandy’s 2019 Holiday Must-Haves!
A quiet, nimble, affordable robot rated best by Wirecutter of The New York Times According to Wirecutter, this Robovac is “The easiest robot to own runs quieter and fits under more furniture than any others, and thanks to the nimble, persistent nav system, it will rarely need your attention.” I have cats and wood floors and I’ve been thinking about getting one of these automatic vacuums for a while now. With this kind of review and the ones on Amazon, this may just be the holiday present I buy for myself!Get It On Amazon!
Ok. So can I tell you how many iPhone cables I have purchased in the last 3 months? I can’t because I will be embarrassed! These cheapo, so called deal cables just don’t last. And, of course, they stop working at the most inconvenient times. So, when I learned about this Kevlar cable, I immediately bought one, announced that I had, and someone said, “old news”! They had owned one for months!Get It On Amazon!
If you don’t know about the straw issue yet, where here you go. In one horrible, you’ll-never-forget image. *Photo credit: DailyMail
So, here is a way for you to get straws that work just fine. I also bought a stainless steel straw with this own cleaning device but I’ve basically gotten out of the straw habit altogether by simply not asking for a straw anymore. And, when I drink water, who needs a straw? Unless they are super cool looking like these!
So I’ve used Apple TV for years and then bought a super smart tv that has what Apple TV offers all built in. We’re in the market for a TV for the basement now that the ping pong table is setup again and wonder if we should consider the Fire or purchase another Apple TV setup (gave our older generation version to my daughter). Both the Fire and Apple TV offer practically neck and neck features but the Fire is only $69!Get It On Amazon!
Thinking about a holiday gift for a Jewish Mother with younger children? I do! Maybe her son can push his peas around sufficiently to reveal an upcoming holiday or make an inquiry about the meaning of the holiday. Either way, this colorful plate will be a fun addition at mealtimes.Get It On Amazon!
Create an atmosphere of love and unity with these beautifully artistic interfaith wall calendars. Each of these truly unique calendars celebrates the world’s major religions and honors their festivity dates.
Enjoy the sacred throughout the day with one of these interfaith calendars at work and at home. They help increase understanding, acceptance and connection to people of all faiths.
This is a wavy gravy super colorful calendar for just about any age group. My Dad helped to clean up after the actual 1969 Woodstock. He said “a chaotic mess” was an understatement. If you’re looking for a cool colorful way to decorate your walls or your college bound student’s walls, you won’t get more psychedelic than this one.Get It On Amazon!
As soon as we launch this blog post, I will be buying this for my husband, Greg who adores Thich Nhat Hanh. He has his calligraphy calendar from last year which is gorgeous as well so I’m sure the folks running his foundation will be putting out an equally pleasing one for this year.Get It On Amazon

NONDENOMINATIONAL HOLIDAY CARDS
Here are my selections for cards for this holiday season. I used to send Far Side holiday cards and I hope my family and friends got a laugh from them. New Yorker cartoon cards may spread a different message, but it’s nice to mix things up a bit. The tree free cards celebrate the winter solstice and change of season. Enjoy!
I already purchased this CD after listening to selected samples from the NPR show on Jon Batiste. He is an inspired musician and a great comedic sidekick for Stephen Colbert. This work deserves a listen.Get It On Amazon!
