Rabbi James Rudin was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Alexandria, Virginia. He attended Wesleyan University and graduated from George Washington University with academic distinction.  He received his rabbinical ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and did graduate studies in History at the University of Illinois.  Jim holds honorary doctorates from Saint Leo University, Saint Martin’s University, and HUC-JIR.

Born to a Catholic Sri Lankan family, Professor Antony Fernando was singled out for success at a young age. At the age of 9, he achieved a score on an IQ test which was sufficient to be awarded a free education by the Sri Lankan government.

Marcia Sawyer, a longtime Northern New Jersey resident, has always had close connections to Philadelphia. Her mother grew up there and she has many family members who still live in the area. Her love for Philly was sealed when she attended the University of Pennsylvania.
