Co-founder David Lapp describes the first event that marked the founding of Braver Angels, and organization that seeks to “… bring Americans together to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic.” The event was a weekend gathering of people from both sides of the partisan divide with the purpose to get people talking to each other and building a dialogue between these 2 seemingly intractable ideologies.

It will follow the visit of Pope Francis to that country on a dialogue building mission to create peace, tolerance and unity between Catholics and Muslims there in March of 2021.
