Antony Fernando, ThD, PhD, is a prolific author on subjects relating to inter-faith spiritualism.
Born into a catholic family, Professor Fernando’s body of works focus on divining the spiritual,
as opposed to congregational, nature of Catholicism and Buddhism. A native of Sri Lanka,
Professor Fernando is also a strong advocate for the adoption of English as a second language
in the island nation. Following his retirement from a prominent Sri Lankan university at the age
of 65, Dr. Fernando has continued his writing, which now amounts to fourteen books published.
